Prima Timber Bin Stores

Prima Bin store Palisade and Hit & Miss fencing is used in many applications including schools, industrial and domestic settings. SPF have installed a variety of Hit & Miss fencing and gate bin enclosure projects.

Bin Enclosures tend to be close paled or hit and miss but can also just be closeboard. Close paled generally leaves only around 20mm gaps, visually enough to obscure the inside of the store but big enough for the wind to pass through. More popular are hit and miss bin store these have pales clad both sides with gaps smaller than pale widths. Standard bin enclosures are no more than 1.8m high and 100x100mm timber or steel posts concreted into ground or on bolt down galvanized shoes and set at 1.8m centres. The horizontal rails are either 87x38mm of 100×50. There are various pales sizes that can be used but 100x22mm or wider 150×22 is the norm. For domestic settings pergola style rafters can be fitted across the top.

We would always advise gates to be steel framed and clad with timber as bin enclosures tend to have multiple users and can get a lot of abuse. Drop bolts can be installed to hold the gates open and frot locking is usually a tower bolt that can locked if required.
