Palisade Pales, Posts & Panels

We have a wide selection of pale heads to suit whatever job is needed, whether it’s security you’re looking for or just an addition to your fence our pale heads are a quality buy! Our sharp heads vary from single-pointed, triple pointed and splayed and now even a curved top

Steel Palisade fencing is considered the most economically effective way to secure any industrial or commercial premises. Metal palisade fencing is delivered to site ‘piece meal’ and is installed on-site. One major advantage of steel palisade is that it can follow the ground up to a 12% gradient so more adverse ground conditions are accommodated without the need for stepping.

The posts are either from RSJ (Rolled Steel Joint) 102x44mm or IPE 100x50mm which essentially means that it’s an H section profile which is rolled from one piece. Posts holes are dug at 2.75mm centres and the posts are concreted into ground at a minimum of 600mm deep. Where installation is required on a concrete surface, base plates can be added to the posts with 4No. bolts resin anchored to the ground. Up to 3 metre high the posts have two holes to take ‘fishplate’ cleats which slot through the post to connect the rails to using M12 cup square bolts and permacone nuts. For heights predominantly over 3m a heavier post section can be used.
The rails are 50x50x4mm thick up to 1.8m high and 50x50x6mm up to 3metre high. At 3 metres high an extra rail can be added which takes the flex out of the pale making it harder to vandalise.

The cold-rolled steel fencing pales come in two profiles W or D section and came with standard specification 2mm and 3mm respectively. Prima 2mm W section is slightly cheaper as there is less steel content, but both pales are considered of equal strength due to the pronounced corrugated profile of the W section pale. For high-security fencing 3mm and 3.5mm thick pale can be utilised, however, the increased cost of this pale often results in clients choosing high security Prima 358 weldmesh fencing instead.

The metal pales are fixed to the rails leaving 89mm gaps using either an 8mm T head bolt for W section or an 8mm saddle head bolt for D section palisade. Both options have a permacone nut which have a head that snaps off so it cannot be unthreaded after installation. All options come in either galvanised or polyester powder coating to a standard colour.
