The original choice for security fencing is 3mm D section steel palisade pales. The thicker pales give more protection and the spikes the added security. However, with steel prices at record levels most people tend to purchase 2mm W section metal palisade or Prima Weldmesh.
For ultimate security 2.5mm W or 3.5 D Section Palisade is recommended. This specification of Palisade is used in high-security environments.
Metal palisade fencing is delivered non-assembled, and is installed on site. Posts are set at 2.75m centres and either concreted into ground or bolted to a concrete base with a base plate holed four times by either resin anchoring or rawl bolting.
Rails are attached to posts with loose fishplate cleats that run through the post and then angle to the correct gradient before being bolted with M12 bolts and shear nuts which are non-reversible. Rails are then clad with verticals pales at 152mm centres with galvanised bolts and shear nuts that cannot be undone.
Our steel fence and standard metal fences are supplied to the British standard. Pale heads meet the BS Standard with rounded and notched, triple pointed and splayed head options in this range.
Regular height panels range from 1.2m to 3m high, but we offer custom heights to meet your requirements.
Ensure you tell us the height and number of metres required. Upload images of the areas and/or site plans, even a hand drawn layout sketch will do.
